Yesterday, my friend Al Currier had a major heart attack. Milwaukee Road fans will recognize his name. Al has authored, or contributed to many articles on Lines West in Washington state.

As was noted on another site, Al is one of the nicest people in the world. As is his wife. My wife and I have known him, and Edie, for over 25 years now. His prognosis as I was told, is not good. And this makes me very sad.

Prayers for Al and his family. :(

Sad news indeed. [IMG] I love all his pic's of the Milwaukee Road taken around here, and his Seattle & North Coast RR ones too. He's one of those local legends, right up there with Warren Wing, Robert Johnston, etc. Prayers and remembrance will be there. :(

Much better news these days! Al has been home a while. Although the road ahead may be long, his recovery going very, very well. I called him tonight. And he sounds very good! Excellent spirits!
