Hi, I don't know anything about trains/railroads but I appreciate hobbies/enthusiasts. I collect watches and have just picked up a quartz watch called "S.P. Daylight". It has a track running around it, and model of the S.P. Daylight (Coast???) running around the track as the seconds hand I would appreciate any info on this such as: - are they a dime a dozen or rare? - when were they issued? - are they collectible? I can't post a link just yet, sorry.
Welcome to TrainBoard. Cannot say with absolute certainty, but really doubt the RR put it out. Probably more in the aftermarket/souvenir type venue. Likely quite minimal worth. Just a fun item for someone who would be an SP fan. Boxcab E50
I have one. Bought it about 20 or so years ago. Visually- it's OK. Functionally-It's a POS!! It stopped working after a few months. If memory serves me- it was in the $30.00 range. Just my 2 pennies worth, Wolf
Well, I've been told this one works. Fingers crossed. Did it come with a black strap or a stainless steel/gold two-tone?
Mine came with the fake leather black strap. That sucked as well. I was very dissapointed with the watch. Wolf
Wow, sounds like it really ruined your life I know what I'm getting into. It's just a fun novelty piece to bore my guests with. I'm into originality, so I'm glad you can confirm the strap. I have seen another one with a metal band.
