I went the other day around the area and captured few of the rail stations(Yes, I love trains a little bit too much). I'll be posting the images and short info in the sub threads here so as not to crowd the main section with new threads/topics for each station.

This station is Maskanwa as evidenced by the station boards and written on the station entrance (do note the fallen tree in front of it ). A proper rural station, it has a laidback feel to it and platforms aren't even properly fenced(visible in couple of images). There are couple of giant old trees on the platform which used to provide shade back when the station used to be much smaller and no proper sheds.

Also note the cramped interior(old part of station) and now defunct track siding(the platform has got extended in length).

    SWAMI NARAYAN CHHAPIA

This station lies 5 kms from the previous posted one. Chhapia is name of the place and 'Swami Narayan' is the famous temple nearby to the station. A bust is also installed in front of station main entrance.

I also have couple of images of the temple, if you guys wanna see, I'll link it too.

This is a halt station ie. only the barest minimum facilities are available here. As you can see, no loop lines, proper platform or shed; not even proper accessway to the station.

The 'newest' built station on this route[Lucknow Gorakhpur Main Line; search for it :p]. Ironically, there is no way to access the station from main platform side[agricultural land there as visible in the image].

I was looking at the catenary, and noticed the hanger spacings seem much further apart than what I knew here in the USA. Or are my eyes deceiving me?

The catenary has a "messenger" wire, and a "trolley" or "contact" wire. The trolley or contact wire is suspended beneath the messenger by spaced hangers.
