"Back in the day"...as the saying goes...railroads were alot more people friendly should I say, then they are perceived now...They would have Open-House events...you could actually go to railroad property and if you asked nicely take photographs etc...anyway...no point in dragging a dead horse around....when rummaging for some old pics I took, I came across these old notepads that these various RR's gave out years ago...
I actually HAVE a Frisco notepad! That, and a Frisco phone message pad as well. Both are part of my collection, and will never see use. Thanks for sharing!
I've got a couple other DRGW note pads floating here somewhere! One large, one small. Although, the sample shown by NScaleMike is one I'd like to get a couple pages from, so I can put them into my DRGW notebook, along with all sorts of DRGW paperwork etc........ Might have to see if I can scan and post what I've got, after I get home from work tonight.
Or worse. When we were cleaning out Tower 17, I found a box of these stored on a shelf in the john. I guess after Sears stopped distributing catalogs, UP found something else to use for "Paper Work."
Please note that the color(s) shown are NOT correct. Scanner didn't give me the right colors. Scanning at 3AM probably isn't helping matters!! Here's one of the 2 different Rio Grande I currently have in my collection: I've also got an interesting array of original Rio Grande forms, for all sorts of stuff. From locomotive inspetion, to form reorder forms!! Looking for whatever other Rio Grande paper I can find as well. If anyone can help me locate more DRGW related paperwork, I'd highly appreciate it!! Same for Rio Grande Green Light magazines - The official magazine of the DRGW.
