I have a running chassis from a roundhouse boxcab for a powered tender kitbash project. Pulls good , but very loud and very slow. My idea is gear it up a little or remotor with something that turns faster. Hate to say it but maybe a 3 pole motor. Has anybody modified these for quieter running? The speed I could live with , but not the sound.
