That's because you live in the east. Out west there's a lot of space between cities and fewer shows.. I've driven 600 miles to go to the OK City show which is the biggest in the west.
For the cost of traveling that distance (@55 cents/mile, or so), you ought to consider shopping for a cheap flight (and hotel) to the Amherst/Springfield show late next January.
I lingered for several minutes on Saturday in the RGM&HS Booth pouring over the display issues of The Prospector, and I never bothered (I don't know why) to say hello to Keith. In other news, glad to see some out of state folks visiting the show! (And I went home with a fleet of HO 40ft Boxcars)
There is a show in Kansas City at the end of this month; it is only a 3 hour drive; a nice weekend getaway. I will probably go to Galesburg Railroad Days this year; I haven't been for many years. What time of year is the OKC show?
