Yes, after 22 years since the Rock riped up the yard, a company by the name of Quad City Railtech are in process of opening a Rail -Truck freight yard. It will not be as massive as the Rocks, but I'm happy with it. They claim 500 good paying jobs- we will see

Any updates on the IAIS Silvis yard? It seems to me that IAIS is looking to be bringing the Rock Island image back to life. If anyone could completely resurrect the Rock, it would be IAIS. I would love to see that happen.
Well IAIS has opened a yard in Silvis. No where near he size or scope of Kelly Yard but it will grow some.But the intermodal yard in Silvis? I think it will be IAIS that does it as the private contractor doing it hasnt touched that area in 2 years
