Rock Island Rail (MSDR) NW-2 #767 (EMD, 1948) is serving the Gulfport, MS Industrial Seaway 5 mile spur for railcar storage, covered hoopers, tanks, and one lonely center beam bulkhead flat.
Great catch Hank! Love that MSDR - Rock Island Rail is doing these paint schemes. Don't they have a GP15-1 down your way as well?
It was here when The Rock first started, but I haven't seen it since. 1500 HP may have been too much power for the traffic. Apparently the NW2's 1000 HP is sufficient for servicing the 20 mile spur to the Titanium Dioxide plant in Hancock County with Chlorine tanks going in full and coming out empty. The covered hoppers are probably used for Ilmenite ore from the port going in and TiO2 finished product coming out.
