My mother-in-law recently was given a house in Geronimo, Oklahoma. She has to move it by December 2, 2002. It has been told to us by some old-timers in Geronimo that the house has ties with the Rock Island Railroad. We are interested in finding out more about those possible ties and gaining pictures of what the house originally looked like when those ties were present. We want to restore it to its original look when it was tied to the Rock Island Railroad. Ayone who could help us with hard proof of the ties and photos of the original look of the house would be appreciated. Thank you. Tara Brinsfield

Hello Tara, and welcome to Trainboard [IMG]

I do not know anything about the town / city you are asking about, but I'm wondering if there might be a local historical society, or museum you could contact there. Most small towns keep photos in museums. Even some long established businesses such as a restaurant or tavern may hold such treasures.

I wish you good luck in your quest. Hopefully, someone in here may have better suggestions or information for you than I. [IMG]

Let us know how you make out with it. [IMG]
