I have a book with the old BN roster, but I haven't been able to scrounge up a new one, so I was wondering if anybody knows what series of #'s BNSF used for the C44-9's? We have a bunch of them, and most of them need renumbered, as 10 all ready have with units I've seen here. Most of what we get through here are SD 70's, and we have already done our collection w/ proper #'s for the 70's. Another ?, how many AC4400's does BNSF have? And what are their #'s. Many thanks to anybody that could help.

Check out QStation for all BNSF loco info:
    http://www.qstation.org/
Look in "BNSF Resources" then look in the loco pages. There's a whole range of #s & paint schemes to chose from. In fact none of the MR companies can even keep up w/ all the variations. Hope you have alot of time to check it out as there' tons of info & pix to look at! BTW there's also info & pix on ATSF, BN & their predecessor RRs.

Another great BNSF specific site is:
    www.bnsfpix.com
There is a current roster and pictures of over 5000 pieces of current motive power.

My brother just took the BNSF4002 to Indiana. He said it still had wet paint and the build date was Sept 29th.Sounds like the new C44-9w's are 4000 series...
