    Does anybody know where to purchase the rubber tires used on the n scale big boy Rivarossi manufactured?

    If you can't find the Rivarossi part try Stewart they make driver tires in a bunch of sizes for both N & HO.

    Actually alan i use the big boy as the second of two rear end helpers, the other being 3 unit turbine . Head end power? What would look correct? John

    Hey John, would you be talking about an Overland 3 unit turbine set? Those look VERY cool. To much $$$$ for me though...... :D

    con-cor has the tires in stock for the Big-boy,I also have some if you are not able to get them from con-cor.

    Did they ever run the turbines behind a steam loco? I thought I read somewhere that the smoke and cinders would do them no good if they got into the works.

    I would love a three unit turbine, even though I run BNSF. They must have looked and sounded terrific climbing a long grade with a heavy train! What a pity none were preserved in working order. Oh well . . . .

    Yes Craig it is a brass turbine. She was areal beauty until the big boy shoved her off the side of layout or should I say into the opening where my turntable was suppose to be. Sometimes my operating sessions run less than smooth. Boy oh boy.
