If you are about to build a new layout or add to an existing one this video might be of interest...

The first part shows how easy it is to move part of the framework (risers) if you need to put something under the layout and you find part of the framework in the way. In this case I needed to place a servo and its mount where there was a riser in the way. Since the all the risers on the layout can be moved it took about a minute to move the riser and mount the servo in another couple minutes. If the layout is placed directly on the framework it is a much larger problem when the framework is in the way.

The remainder of the video shows how with a locator tool you can place a servo and bracket exactly where you need it under the turnout's throwbar the first time in a couple minutes and do it alone. I've seen people have to spend a lot of time under the layout getting a servo mounted in the right place.

Take a minute or two and take a look at the video and the description under it.
