Slowly being offered through TrainBoard, is a large collection of railroad stuff, with most of it being Rio Grande. I'm only helping to sell off a majority of the collection. Items will be slowly added to the auction forum, as I get the chance. From the collection of a recently retired DRGW employee. Plan on trying to auction stuff off through Train Board, to avoid the outrageous ebay fees! Will also consider selling items direct, for anyone interested. All items are used, unless stated otherwise. Hope to get photos of current list of stuff next week. Still have many more things to look through, and eventually post. Contact me with any questions. Thanks.
Well, I guess I'll make a list of what's currently been checked out. If anyone wants a copy, contact me, with a valid E-Mail, and I'll send the list that I currently have. More items to be added in the days to come. Still need to check, price and list a rather large pile of stuff. About 1/2 done so far! Timetables, instruction books and such have yet to be checked, inspected etc...... Photos of all items will be taken next week. Sent by request. Hoping to add a few more extremely interesting items to my collection next week too! Anyway, anyone interested in a list of stuff, contact me and I'll get a list out ASAP. Current hand written list is a page and a half in length! Thanks.
OK. I have a 2 1/2 page list to send out. However, I need to know what format is needed by folks?? Created with MS Works 7.0, saved as a .wps file. Can try to change format, IF I can figure out how! Without losing everything! Patience appreciated. Thanks.
Think I managed to save as a PDF file. Can send it, for anyone interested. Having a difficult time at best, converting the .wps file to a .pdf file! If this doesn't work, I'll retype entire list and send to those who request it. Apologies for any possible delay, due to MY inability to create a proper file!
How big is the PDF file? OI ask since if it's under 200K, you can post it within this topic as an attachment. :tb-biggrin: :tb-biggrin: :tb-biggrin: :tb-biggrin:
Keith, it should be real easy to use Save As and file type text, txt, and then everyone will be able to use it. Dont forget things like MS Works are proprietory file types to keep their marketshare, not share data, so you have to use 'recognised' formats to do so. RTF files would also be acceptable, no matter whether used on a PC, Mac or Linux. cheers dave
Keith, if you're 'trying' to 'convert' something you are trying way too hard! Just use Save As, or Export if it has it! If you cannot create an acceptable 'standardised' format file directly from the word processor you are using, it is not worth using in the first place! dave 24 years on computers; 20 years on Macs; GUI and Human Interface Guidelines Writer.
I'll take a copy! Sorry I was gone, and missed this message--I was out with Alaska GP49 chasing ghosts in MT for 4 days!
Was beginning to wonder why you hadn't posted yet Jere lol. Comon Keith,do you need a hand with the file?
Actually managed to create, and save, a PDF file! So, I can send copy to anyone with a request for said file! Not quite sure what, or how I managed, but I did.
Have a second, major list of stuff available. Will send copy to those who requested original list of stuff. This is a completely new list of stuff. Unfortunately, no photos, as I had hope. I was 2 1/2 hours late today, due to Dr appt. Also took most of the day to get current list of stuff made out, with type, quantity and prices. Have one last batch of stuff to go through next week. Locomotive manuals and a few other higher dollar stuff. HOPE to have some photos next update. It'll help greatly I know! Will be posting a couple of known DRGW throttle reverser handles shortly. Known to come from Rio Grande locomotive(s)!! However, a specific unit can NOT be given, since handle fits several locomotives!
Hi Keith, I would be interested in seeing the list. microsoft works format is fine for me. my email is randynlisafeola@msn.com thanks, Randy Feola
Have sent a PDF file to those who requested original list! If anyone else is interested in an updated, second list of stuff, contact me. I'll get it out ASAP. Hopefully, photos this weekend! Late start, and the amount of stuff sorted this weekend, was unable to get photos. Hopefully, time and weather will allow that this time! Probably have one last list of stuff this weekend also. One addition to sales: All sales are Cash, Check or Money Order. With a 7-10 day wait on Check/Money Orders. Shipping to be determined by size/weight of package. Due to nature of items, Delivery Confirmation and Insurance are STRONGLY recommended! Thanks again.
