Had a fabulous time in Richmond, VA. Some really awesome modules and great bunch of people. Cudo's to RANtrak, Northern VA Ntrak, Dayton N trak and a whole lot of other folks.
I went to the uNcoNveNtioN too.... it was a blast! And YES! I do have some photos, however I need to reduce them in size and post them. I spent most of my time Friday and Saturday on the DCC line.... it was a lot of fun. Hats off to everyone who participated, including my club North Raleigh (NC) Model Railroad Club. Harold
OK Here is a preview The show was held at the Science Museum of VA (formerly Broad St Station). Although I was unable to attend, a good friend who was there emailed me these photos of an N scale model of the station, which served RF&P, ACL and SAL in order to get all those famous streamliners down to Florida. No info yet on who built the model but it is a true work of art ==== Street side view ==== http://www.railroadforums.com/photos/data/517/379broad-3.jpg ==== Trackside view http://www.railroadforums.com/photos/data/517/379broad-2.jpg ==== eNjoy
Sorry guys I took a video [and a mighty poor one at that] but no stills. I do have to get a better video camera as mine is almost 20 years old and I had extreme difficulty in seeing what I was filming in the eye piece. However the model of the Science Museum that Don posted was truly impressive. Dayton Ntrak would have taken the top prize as far as animation was concerned. They had a number of modules with all sorts of things going on.
I can read the name shown on the module from the pictures I took ... it states: " BUILT BY JOHN MCGOWAN AND MEMBERS OF RANTRAK" Harold
