For Immediate Release to All Media: The City of Augsburg is pleased to announce the grand opening of the city's new fire station. After contracting with Arrowhead Models, the new 2-bay fire house is now being used by the fire department. The new firehouse will be officially opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Feb 3rd, at 10:00 am. An open house will follow. The City is proud of the new fire station, with state of the art communications capability, 2 bays for the ambulance and engine company, and quarters for the department. "Smokey" Jones Chief of the Augsburg Fire Department This is the Arrowhead "Suburban Fire Station." It was completed stock, except for the replacement of the flimsy styrene for the roof with thicker styrene and different sandpaper for roofing material. It was brush painted with a variety of acrylic paints. Scenery and weathering will be added at a later date. The car on it's side is part of a ACRR training program, for the MOW crew.
