This evening Thursday the 12th at 7:00PM eastern time the RFD channel will have a program on the last run of the N&W #611. For thoses that may not be familiar with it, 611 is a streamline class J 4-8-4. This should be interesting.Channel 379 on Direct TV. Sorry to be so late. Just found out. Len
I'm lucky if Adelphia has my cable working from hour to hour. Now that a hurricane is approaching, cable radio is the choice.
We have had 1.8 inches of rain up here and the main show won't start till tomorrow. Here in the mountains flooding is always the threat. In addition the thin soils get softened and the trees can fall over, taking phone and electricity with it. At least we don't have storm surge.......or wall to wall political adds . The only problem with sat tv is when storms come from the south west, we will get a short blackout. In the event of power loss, I have a generator........so one way or another, I will run trains. Hope everybody down there is safe. Len
And yet another train program on RFD last night (8-17-04, 10:00pm 11:00pm central time), Trains and Locomotives....Indiana Harbor belt operations. Pretty cool show, a little bit of everything except no steam. Lots of roads represented, and engine types, a huge cut of BNSF auto maxes, I think there were about 12 all strung together. Similar to train videos ive seen, but there was alot of variety on this show. Hump yard operations, Amtrak, etc, etc. Keep an eye out for this channel, they seem to show a lot of train related programming from time to time.
What was the name of this show, I will set the TIVO to record it, if it comes back on. RFD-TV has 3 Train shows, Trains and Locomotives, Trackside, and I Love Trains. I have only seen the first show so far.
I checked their program guide on their website, but it just shows the program name, no details about individual episodes. http://www.rfd-tv.com/start3.html
