This is a 107 year old trolly that was restored at Shelburn Falls, MA. It is the original trolly used by the Shelburn Falls and Colrain Street Railway. The trolly was used for several years as a chicken coop. They have about 1000 feet of track under wire and hope someday to be able to run over the bridge now known as the bridge of flowers crossing the Deerfield River between Buckland and Shelburn Falls.

It's great to see it brought back to life. Too many of these treasures dies a painful death as chicken coops, etc.

Do you have further history on this line?

Nice web site! That sure is a neat little trolley. I hope they can make their expansion dreams come true.

I need to find a map on line somewhere. Am not quite certain where this all is...? I'll wager a guess the B&M ran through town?

Shelburne Falls is on the main line of the B&M from Boston to Mechanicville, NY. It is about 10 miles west of Greenfield, MA and 15 miles east of the Hoosac Tunnel. Try Mapquest and search for Shelburne Falls, MA.
