A rerun of PA's in New Haven livery (I prefer the McGinnis scheme), by Kato or BLI, with a factory installed decoder. It is just silly that both companies did not make a New Haven PA, while the New Haven was a loyal buyer of Alco stuff..........
I would like to see the Arnold S2 redone. Have someone like Kato or Atlas do the mechanism on it. I have passed these locos up many times at swap meets all because they were very noisy.
Kato - Mikado w/DCC plug and speaker holes in the bottom of the tender IM - C&O F7 in bow wave paint scheme Walthers/LL - Berkshire w/DCC plug, speaker holes in the bottom of the tender and traction tires Con-Cor - Hudson in C&O livery w/DCC plug, speaker holes in the bottom of the tender and traction tires Am I asking for too much?
Russ,am I losing it,or didn't Mehano already beat you to it? I swear I remember a remake of those bombers a few years ago with the same shell and a metal chassis..
It wouldn't be that hard for Atlas to do Paul since they already have the SD 50 chasis, which is the same wheelbase as the SDP40, not sure about the SDP45 though.
Actually, the SDP40 rides on a regular old SD40 or SD45 chassis. The SDP45 would be closer to the SD50, the SD50 truck center lenght (45' 10") was only 10" longer than the SDP45 (45') and the SD50 is only 6" longer in overall lenght to the SDP45. The SDP40 really isn't that bad of a build is you use a SD45 sill/walkway:
http://www.visi.com/~spookshow/loco/ihcfa.html Since the RSD-15 seems to be a popular prototype, a revised version would seem like a good idea. But are even the FAs being made anymore? I thought I heard Mehano had abandoned the North American market.
I would like to see Kato do a 4 pack add on set for the COLA using the 6-6-4 they previously produced and the recent 10-6's that match the current paint. My COLA is a little Lounge car heavy and sleeper light (The set comes with a Cafe-Lounge, a Sleeper-Lounge and a Observation-Lounge. Yet only came with 2 Sleepers)
Then maybe it's time for Atlas, or dare I say it, Bachmann to do them. I recall a recent thread where a TB member asked a Kato rep at a train show for a COLA add-on and was virtually told where to take his request. Kato do what Kato want to do.
I'm guessing that just means that somebody approached a Kato rep with a very common request/suggestion and didn't get the "GREAT idea! We'll drop everything and get to work on that right away" response that he was looking for.
That's interesting. I get the "We'll drop everything response" nearly every time. Is it something about my approach?

Key Imports did a nice 1940 20th Century Limited. Be nice to see that again or an accurate plastic version. The Centralia cars are a start but they will never complete an accurate and complete consist.
