Greetings all, Does anyone know of decals that are made for Norfolk Southerns renumbered/redecaled SD80MACs that they picked up from Conrail? I'd like to maintain the Big Blue paint scheme but have the PRR numbers. Thanks in advance, Brian
brian you might try shellscale decals. microscale hasn't done them yet and i had to cut each one out. unfortunately the 80 macs were among the first to be painted in the black and white scheme. the old blue only lasted a few weeks on them.
I think you may be a little off on the repaint dates for NS SD80MACs. The first one to be repainted was NS7213 on 8/18/99 and the second was 7204 on 2/7/00. I am pretty sure no others were repainted before December of 2000. If my memory holds only one or two more were repainted by this summer but I am not sure of the numbers. Vandy
Like the NS, I didn't waste any time re-painting my SD80's in the black & white. #'s 7204 and 7213 are the only pictured ones I could find. They really look sharp in the black & white.
