Berks Co Pa, I'm not exactly new, just getting back into the hobby again. I joined board in 2011. Until this week I hadn't done anything model train related in four years A couple years ago a short move forced me to pack away my trains and hobby tools. We moved from a 1950s rancher with a dry basement to a 200 year old historic home along a canal. The house has a damp stone basement, for now. This week's cold spell and a canceled vacation trip gave me an opportunity to set up a small shop area in second floor room and to sort through much of my train stuff. The room is just big enough for my watchmakers bench, old student drafting table turned lathe bench, corner computer hutch and treadmill. The room is in a corner of the house and has a window on each outside wall. It has been very nice organizing my tools and watching the snow. My first project is to build a small hand laid simple Nn3 oval to display a collection of Liberty Falls buildings at holiday seasons. Roughly 16 x 30". After that it's back to starting on the micro portage layout.
