Don't forget, while you're waiting to get the money for a digital camera like i am, that the good old video camera you only drag out at thanksgiving and christmas can provide a real good running record of your layout construction. I keep a friend a long ways away updated with how my layout is going by taking a minute or two every so often to record progress or changes, then put it on a dollar store tape and send it to him. Ever try to explain an intricate building concept[like how i attach PVC legs to my metal stud framework] to someone by phone or e-mail? With a video zoom-in you can show it and explain what you did at the same time. Plus it's fun to go back and look at some old died-and-gone layouts i had. Curt

    Mathos:
I use a similar idea, except mine is with a $50.00 web cam with a 12 ft cord. I take a series of pix of the progress and when I get the time I email to friends that are working with me or to those that have expressed an interest. ( Of course all the relatives.)

I use the VIDEO CAMERA to make a record of what I have for my homeowner's insurance. I have a policy covering my layout and collection. I use the video camera to show exactly what I have and how much has been aquired since the last policy update.
