While surfing the BN Photo Archives for C30-7 numbers I notice some of them are rebuilt to C33-7 and C36-7. Does anyone know when BN did this, I have never even heard of such a program of rebuilding C30-7's on BN. Kevin
I don't recall the dates or the #s that were done, but i think those units got red number boards after. I never did actually see one in person though.

Kevin

I remember reading that it was something BN did in the late eighties; I don't think it was a rebuild, more of a tweak to get more horsepower from them. And like tunnel88 mentioned, they got red numberboards. Paul #3 ------------------ Have A Nice Day!
C30-7 #5084 was the first to be rebuilt into C33-7 on the 25th of july 1991, the first 17 was completed by august 1st 1992. the fist 2 C30-7's to be made into C36-7's was #5057 which was notched up to 3600hp in june 1992 and 5571 was upgraded in august 1992. the only spotting feature is they have white on red number boards, other than that they look identical to the normal C30-7's. ------------------ Matthew wheres all the C636's???? stickymonk.com Matts Photo gallery TrainBoard member #257
