The RDC #192 began as an RDC-1 but was remodeled into an RDC-2. Does anyone know who did this, ATSF or Budd. The point being, did it look like an as-built RDC-2 or was it more unique? And thus, how accurate is the KATO set which is using the as-built RDC-2 shell to represent the remodeled 192?

DC-192 was rebuilt by the Santa Fe after a tragic accident at Redondo Jct. in Los Angeles. The baggage section was much larger than that found on an RDC-2. Most people wouldn't notice if you used an RDC-2 for 192. If you want a more accurate model, though, you need to kitbash an RDC-1. Compare these pictures of 192 and a typical RDC-2.
