Rayonier was briefly touched upon today in a Trainboard modeling forum. Now, I'm wondering- I have the book that came out many years ago. What about a video?

I've seen this company mentioned as part of offerings mixed with other operations. Is there a release dedicated strictly to Rayonier? Color? Real sound? Suggestions?

I am not aware of any videos that cover just the Rayonier. The only commercial video that I can think of that covers this operation is Gears in the Woods, available from Sunday River Productions. Has footage of Southwest Forest Industries, McCloud River, Yreka Western, Hillcrest, and others as well as both divisions of the Rayonier operation.

This video is in color, but has dubbed sound. Still worth it, though.

Hope this helps, and maybe somebody else knows something I don't.

If I remember correctly, last time I tried to link to a Sunday River page, it was down. I wonder if they ever put another back up? Come to think of it, are they still in business?

    JDLX-

Was just composing a message answering a post in another TB forum. When my memory clicked. Rayonier steam footage only in a tape. Greg Scholl Video Productions!!!!! They have Maynard Laing's footage. Silent. But dubbed with the actual sound made at the very same time, by Maynard's friend Elwin Purington.

    Oh boy! Oh boy!

Received my copy of this GSVP DVD today. Am quite happy to have made the investment. I saw footage taken at many places I recall from my youth. And also near where my grandfather grew up.
