All former BN units, all facing west. Too bad all I had time to get was a grade crossing grab shot... WB BNSF LAUDEN train rolling thru Cheyenne:
OK. Old fogey question here. I am still in the days of numbered trains...... By saying westbound, does this mean it's enroute from Denver to Laurel? If so, instead of being a LAUDEN, wouldn't it be a DENLAU? Boxcab E50
It is enroute to Laurel, but I always thought the destination terminal is listed first... But I coule be wrong.
Hemi- A friend of mine just left. While here, I asked him. He's a retired GN/BN/BNSF man. He said it's as I noted. Should read origination/destination. Starting point first, then ending point for that particular train. Trains originate first, then terminate. Boxcab E50
It's all about the visibility. That, and not many whitefaces were painted, compared to normal BN paint jobs. Thanks for clarifying the train symbol, Ken!
