Is this the railroad retirement equivalent of a W-2 form?

I am not really sure. I have trouble remembering that far back. ;)
It says that I made $15,136.12 over a 79 month period, but $419.23 for two months. Maybe just a pay check stub?

The RRB sends out a yearly report with similar info, and you months of credible service, towards retirement.

On Monday the 4th, I grabbed my first shot in 2021 of NS 191 at Cayce, SC. I like the old skool searchlight signal here. Its fishtail plate is a legacy of semaphore days and indicates it's a Distant signal.

It's called a museum but it was really more of just a small collection. Never really followed up with any research into it.

Reminiscent of B&M signals in the late 1940's, early 1950's. Enjoyed watching the colors change as the filters were changed internally. Told me which block the freight, or twice a day passengers had just entered and how soon I should expect it. Especially exciting was waiting for the Minute Man, B&M 6000.

I assumed the filters were in the head in front of the lamp and changed by relays controlled from the control box. Never had the courage to climb up and open the head. Did a lot of other things I shouldn't of done, though.

He does have the lobes for it.;)

To paraphrase one of the rules of acquisition, if it's worth leasing once, it's worth leasing twice (or more).

You want random thoughts? MBKX 168958 looks like a doctor's bag with that handle-like thing on top.

(do note that I haven't finished my first coffee yet :coffee:)

I saw one of these MBKX cars on a CP 293 train last night. I like shooting clean cars like this. They don't stay that way for long!

I find myself shooting more pictures of containers and trailers than I used to, because they're not defaced as heavily.

I have long wanted to try this shot, in the east side of downtown Minot, but never really made it happen. I had a train, but the overcast sky makes it blah. I think this is a mid-afternoon summer shot, light-wise. CP train 199 is framed by Burdick Expy.
