Darren, I need to thank you for the video clip. It has become ritual for my 3-year old and I to watch these in the morning before school. He has been pestering me about "Dawin's new train movie" all week... John
LOL Well, you can tell him there are still more new ones to come as the topic progresses. Have you also been showing him my other clips too; like those from Georgetown Loop that has some SHAY Action in them?
OK, let me explain this next sequence first... At this point Lisa and I once again seperate so images will be from different places and from vary differant angles. Lisa has gotten off the train with the vast majority of the photographers and will setup on the Colorado Trail Bridge. The train will back up as normal for the Run-Bys and I have remained on the train. I'm setup on the front deck of the first passenger car with a clear view of the rear of Engine #472 and our freight cars; basically I'm riding shotgun. When we make our first pass we won't stop the train but go on down the line to Minco Spur and pull off the main line. This is because #482 is heading at us on route to Silverton. I will setup to photograph #482 there and Lisa will catch it when it passes her later at the Colorado Trail Bridge. Watch out for Speeder #334 which is chasing behind #482 as part of the D&SNG Fire Protection... We will then backup again and make a second run Run-By at the Colorado Trail Bridge. OK, we got the Lisa and the photographers off the train and they are setting on the bridge as we back up for the first Run-By at the Colorado Trail Bridge.
All I can say is WOW. The aspens are afire! They don't call it 'Aspen Gold' for no reason! Great shots!!! Dang, you had a heckuvatime!:shade:
