We've got some great railfan pictures this week in RailImages! Starting out, dave n is making me cold with this winter scene. Here's an NS helper on a grain train near Ludlow, Kentucky... Mikado has been railfanning in the ice storm, too. Here's a CSX train near Coral Ridge, Kentucky... The Kentucky folks have been busy this week. Here's NSFan14's shot of RJCC 3805, also in Kentucky... Switching over to a warmer climate, here's BNSF Fan's shot of a Ferromex locomotive...
Campp found this DRGW gondola survivor... And pastoolio found another DRGW relic, this one filled with scrap metal, in Provo, Utah... BuddyBurton witnessed this snowy cornfield meet... Russell Straw wraps us up with this old passenger car in Hearne, Texas...
Grande choices! BTW, where's the derailmentphot? At least, I thinkt hat's what it's supposed to be. You know, "cornfield meets"!
LOL! I just took Buddy Burton's description. I think what he meant was two trains were meeting in a cornfield, probably one on a passing siding.
Maybe Buddy's "cornfield meet" is him meeting that hopper train in a corn field? Great shots! They make me glad to be in warm AZ! And thanks for picking one of mine -Mike
Great picks. I especially like the NS photo in the snow. It almost looks like a black and white photo until you look really close at the loco and find that there is color inside the cab and a few flecks here and there. Great job!
Not this time. There wasn't a westbound to be seen for miles. Apparantly eastbounds ruled the roost. There ya go!!
Great pics, everyone! At least some folks were able to get out & about in this icy mess we had last week. Me, I live in a state where the snow removal device rises in the east every morning.
I need one of those:tb-biggrin: Where did you but yours? at Walmar...:tb-wacky: BNSF Fan's shot of a Ferromex locomotive...I seen two of these pass thru here a couple times no camera:mhissyfit:
Cool shots. Or should that be cold shots. Thanks for picking one of mine. My dream is to one day have my own PV.
If that thing was made overseas (the source of many a WalMArt item), then someone lied to me.......:tb-err::tb-err: After this last ice/sleet storm, it took several days for the stuff to melt off so school could start back up again. A small truck with wide tires (and not too much tread on them) and no weight in the bed doesn't move well in this stuff. Ask me how I know this fact.......................................:tb-tongue:
