I took a recent trip to Nevada where I captured a few images between Mesquite and Las Vegas. We also stopped by the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City, Nevada. Feel free to post any of your Nevada railfan shots here.

U.P. equipment spotted off of I-15.

A few more shots of the MOW work area.

Hopefully I will have time to stop along I-15 and get better shots the next time I'm in the area.

Upon arriving at the museum we found that they only run the trains on the weekends but they do leave the pavilion open during the week days. We were bummed that we couldn't go for a train ride but were happy to be allowed to explore the exhibits.

The other steamer we found was outside. Their website has it listed as a PLC 35 "Heber Creeper".

Our visit was a little windy as you can see by the orientation of this sign.

Next we have NSR 1000, an EMC NW-2.

The SP engine looks to be in decent shape. You can tell it worked hard during a long career. The other one- Well, with money most anything can be restored. I hope the group has solid funding and a good core of volunteers.

Here are a few pictures of their Davenport DM30. I found it interesting that this little engine was used during the construction of the Hoover Dam.

It sounds like they are planning to cosmetically restore the outside of their steam power but will not mechanically restore them due to costs.
