Nice videos, Thieu, thank you. The fifth wagon in the "66" video appears to have side indentations that look like windows. These give it the appearance of a postal van, though I'm sure it is not...please explain.
As far as I can see, is it a car for general merchandise. Something like the American boxcar. We don't have RPO's anymore. The last post wagon rode the tracks somewhere in de 90's...... :tb-sad:
I went to your Youtube site to look at the ICE before you put a link on here. I hope you will keep the camera working so we can see more of your trains.
This week, I had seen some nice freight trains (tank cars, containers) when going to work. So yesterday I decided to take the camera with me and shoot some videos before going to work. Well, of course the freights that I had seen the previous days, didn't run yesterday...:tb-mad: I have seen only one freight train, the 'Volvo train' to Sweden: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cn4C8OuWbxY"]YouTube - The 'Volvo train', led by B-Cargo 77-series diesels[/ame] Pulling power are two Belgian class 77 diesels.
Railion freight at Bergen-op-Zoom (guess where the name of Bergen, New Jersey comes from.....). The train comes from Vlissingen Sloehaven, a harbor near the city Vlissingen (yes, Flushing in New York.......): [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7Y9K0ijFzA"]YouTube - Railion freight at Bergen-op-Zoom[/ame] The autotrain, running from the city Den Bosch to southern Europe: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vphrLQMR0M"]YouTube - Autoslaaptrein in Den Bosch[/ame]

Nice videos, they are interesting and fun to view. I'm surprised that the auto train cars are open. Is the risk of vandalism between Den Bosch and southern Europe non-existant?
We don't have autoracks like you have: all of our racks are open. Of course, there will be vandalism, I think. The autotrain is for travelers who go on vacation to the south. Something like the Amtrak Autotrain. I have never heard of problems with vandalism. The train travels at night, so you leave in the evening and the next day you are at the Mediterranean Sea.
Thank you, Thieu. I assume that since the train travels at night and the yards at both terminals are well protected, the opportunity for vandalism would be far less than in the US.
Unfortunately we also have to deal with a lot of vandalism. Freight cars need special equipment to prevent theft, and passenger and freight cars are sprayed all over with graffiti. Sometimes there are some idiots who start a fire in a train by burning newspapers. And throwing debris on the tracks is also a problem that happens too many times......
