Thanks to Food Network, Bobby Flay uncovered a BBQ/train ride in New Mexico, in fact, on the old ATSF!! Santa Fe Southern runs an 18-mile spur from Santa Fe to Lamy, NM. At the Lamy depot lies a great BBQ dinner for the train's guests.

Pete, have you heard of this place?

Food and trains. What could be better??? [IMG]

    Beer.

Sounds like a typical weekend in Deshler to me. Guess you guys need to cross the Mississippi a little more!

Here is one a little closer to my home. It runs part of the old C&NW Cowboy Line. It is a spring/summer operation.

How about lunch at Love & War in Texas, situated alongside the KCS main line in Plano, TX? Food, trains, beer, and Texas-style country music.

Also a little bit closer to where I live (about 42 miles south on US75)..... [IMG]
