Atlanta, Illinois- The signal from ? Who had these position lights? Was it B&O? Pennsy? Is this an ex-GM&O location?

Ken, this was an old Pennsy branch that went east then south into Decatur. The Illinois Terminal also had trackage rights here. Not sure when the tracks were abandoned, but by the look of things, I would say late 1960's to mid 1970's as I had a hard time finding much of the old ROW. The signal is PRR. I don't know if that is the original location or not. That said, there was a diamond here once where this line crosses the UP. This line is where the high speed rail for Amtrak is.

    Jim-

Thanks. I was curious, as the GM&O once passed through Atlanta. Not sure if those rails are gone with all that has happened since the ICG merger.
