Just returned from my railfan trip of the CP Holiday Train thru the Chicago Sub at Byron, IL to the Davenport Sub at Clinton, IA. Thanks for choosing that one. Because of your photos I knew the heritage of the locomotive when I saw it. They had four of them at the shop when I visited, 625, 626, 627 and 628. They may have had more out on the road at that time but I don't know.
Thanks for including me again. Man, I need to get out and Railfan. less than an hour from any point on Donner pass and little more than an hour from Feather River and I just can't get up there. Of course, given the storm that just went through, I doubt my car could handle it.
