I wish NS would adapt this scheme, completely. Excepting their heritage units, their utilitarian black and white just doesn't have any pop. And yes, I know it's likely a budgetary thing and blah, blah, blah.
Great selections, Bill. The solid black scheme looks nasty, like it means business in a club bouncer kind of way. It's likely a derivative of the old solid black N&W scheme. As for the new scheme, I was perusing a book (on trains, of course!) and came across a CSX unit in a very similar scheme, light blue and silver,. but the demarcation line on the long hood is straight, and no nose stripes... Interesting...
