I'm certainly curious about that Santa Fe diesel....

The long looking nose was standard Santa Fe GP20s. Something about the Cub Scout paint job made the low nose stand out. The only photo I have loaded up in my album only shows the nose.

OK, here is an image of another Santa Fe GP20 that I found in my box-o-photos.

I like the first - the new loco framed by the old signal. And a little fog, it looks like, giving a great touch of atmosphere.

I will keep commending all of you photographers, and Buddy, for keeping this thread going. That GP-20 is an interesting machine.

Thanks Buddy for picking one of mine. That former Santa Fe GP20 is part of the Decatur Junction RR, It has been sitting on an industrial spur north of Highway 72 for a few months. Hopefully it is not awaiting the scrapers torch.

Here's some shots of a derelect GG1 stored on a WYE near Oneonta NY. There's two of them but I only had enough time to get one. They can also be seen on Google Earth. There's also a couple of ex New Haven Merto north FL9's stored on another leg of the WYE.
