I am a fan of the Quincy, and I have lots of questions regarding the modeling of CB&Q's green and yellow RBL type insulated boxcars (Reporting marks RBBX and RBBQ).

When were the first 60-footers built, and what were their numbers?

Judging from the two photos provided, did the Quincy use two different shades of green on their 50-foot and 60-foot cars? What model paint colors today best match?

    Sincerely,

    Welcome aboard, tngjstn!

I'll allow the real CB&Q experts to answer this one--but Golden CO's Colorado RR Museum has one:

The lower green looks like an early pre-BN shade of Cascade Green. I would mix it using proto photos for reference. I like Polly Scale BN green as it is lighter than Modelflex BN green. It might be right on for your use.
