Hello fellow model railroaders, Hopefully this subject is in the correct forum. If not, my apologies. I am thinking about putting a SMALL ore smelter on my layout. My questions are 1) what kind of car unloading devices are at a smelter? 2) what does the smelter do with the waste products after refining the ore? 3) Does a smelter have "piles of "tailings" like at a mine? or does a smelter ship the waste somewhere else? Answers to these questions and / or any other advice about smelters would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
