    Hello all,

I am hoping some BNSF guys here can help answer a question for me as it seems no one in my terminal knows the answer. I am a new hire conductor (started 10-7-13) in Springfield, MO so I have virtually no seniority right now but at least it is on the NH99 roster. My wife is flying to Seattle for a job interview in about ten days. We think she will most likely get the job. It is my understanding that in Seattle and the surrounding terminals they have a closed seniority district. How would I go about transferring to a job in the area? Or is this not even possible?? I realize I would probably have to give up my mid-west seniority and start over in the new closed district. Is the seniority in Seattle by terminal? Or, does it encompass all of the so-called "northern seniority" (old NP and GN).

Any insight or advice you can offer would be much appreciated!

I think you would have to start with the division manager that you want to go to. Then yours and it goes from there. Shawn
