Hi Everyone, I have question on my Kato Amtrak DC loco. 2 wheels out of 8 were turned into black. But the loco is in good condition and running flawlessly. I added picture below. You can see the wheels on bottom-left and top-right were covered with black substance. It cannot clean that up too. Anyone explain what is happened? or it is manufactured in that way ? Those are traction tires that fit in a grove on the wheel face to help with traction. Sort of like very thin mini rubber bands.
