I received this e-mail from someone who is not into railroading and doesn't care to join a forum.

Can anyone help with information of this type?

If so, post a reply please.

I recently learned that an old friend of mine had died in a train wreck in Massachusetts in 1966. He was the engineer. I was overseas at the time so I never heard about it, and only recently was told how 'Old Tom' had died.
I wanted to find out about it, but have not been able to because I do not know the date. All I know is the year was 1966. I think it happened in Everett, Ma.

Tom Bagley worked for the railroad, and may have been the engineer driving the train. Where can I find out more about the wreck online? Do you have any info. you can share?

The DOT handled these reports from 1911 to 1966 however, I found the information on the NTSB site. Here is the info:

Title: Boston and Main Corp., Single Diesel- Powered Passenger Car 563 Collision with Oxbow Transport Co Tank Truck, at 2nd Street RHWY, Everett, MA, Dec. 28, 1966.
NTSB Report Number: RHR-, adopted on 12/28/67
    NTIS Report Number: PB-190212

The report number on the bottom is what you will need to get a copy of the report from the NTSB if still available.
