I'm new to these forums and had few questions about the best places to Rail fan In Ca. Now I know the usual places like Cajon Pass and Tehachapi Loop, but I'm looking for more remote locations. Are there any locations in Ca that are very remote that you can view freight action? I like the idea of driving out to remote locations off the main highway where there is a good amount of freight action. Also I have been to Sequoia National park before and really enjoyed the scenery almost felt like I was in CA as it was a million years ago I know that there are alot of places in north eastern CA that look like that. So I was wondering if there were places where you can watch trains go by where you get that same feeling?

I apologize if it's hard to understand what I'm asking. Sometimes I have trouble trying to explain what I want to ask.
