    I just went on to Atlas' website to search for some N scale locomotive parts. What I found is a new online catalog and no N scale locomotive parts. Does anyone here know if they have discontinued selling replacement parts online, as this was the only way I was able to buy parts in the past. I thought I would try to find the answer here before contacting Atlas directly for their answer (maybe one of you have already asked them this question). Thanks for any help you can give...

    They've made it rather awkward to find parts

    Go to the Atlas homepage

    =======

    http://www.atlasrr.com/

    =======

    Then click on "Online Catalog"

    Once the catalog page opens, enter

    Parts

    in the search window and hit GO

    The first page you get will be Auto "Parts"
    boxcars but starting on the second page the
    parts listing begins.

    Atlas said in late June they were tweaking
    the on-line catalog, but that was right before
    they shut down for vacation. July 16 is their
    first day back, so I guess we all need to be
    patient (grumble, grumble ................)

    Thanks for the help, guys. I will likely wait until they get the parts listed more friendly before I attempt to place any orders.

    Hey Don,
    I like your web browser!! Is it available in 12 pack longnecks?? :) how many $heckel$??

    BTW has anybody seen the b40-8 shell only available?? I've been searching the last week, usually giving up after 2 hours.... hoping mopac3092 will graft the cab onto a kato dash 9 to make a NS c40-9. Poor guy does so much stuff for me, I wonder how he finds time to do his own stuff :)

    It's a little more than grafting the cab on the Kato -9. More like the entire front clip [IMG]

    Hey Don, let me know if Atlas ever fixes that catalog. I give up. You'd think that with all the time and money they spend trying to get a locomotive right, that they would have expended the same effort on their 'new' catalog. We waited six months for a beta-test.

    yeah, a c40-9 will require the entire cab and nose, but remember the c44-9w cab is separate from the body, so the cut should be hidden (or shall I say near...) the rear of the cab. Looks like a straight forward kitbash, aka using the HH from the atlas sd35 body onto several EMD 4 or 6 axle lokeys. Mitch is painting several HH gp50's, sd40-2's, and gp40's for me. Wish I had the time to do that kind of kitbashing, but heck I still have 20 more autoracks to rework with AC's upgrade. BTW alan, the dremel works well, but ya GOTTA be careful!!!!
