Does anyone have photos of proto wash racks for corn syrup or corn oil tank cars? I'm looking for trackside structure details and piping arrangements, also the appearance of track and ballast plus the ground around the washing area.

Track arrangements showing the tracks with wash racks in relation to the tracks with loading facilities would also be helpful. (Did washing and loading usually take place in the same spot or were they separate facilities--perhaps near each other--within the same plant?)

I'm modeling the Pekin Illinois Corn Products Plant in the 1970s, but I'd guess the washing facilities wouldn't be too different 30 years earlier or later, except for size of the tank car being cleaned, would they? Or did washing technologies evolve along with tank car designs?

    Sort of related question:
Did gluten plants and ethanol producing plants of the 1980s and 1990s wash out the tank cars between every use, or only need to clean out cars on a less frequent basis?
