Well, I missed my Canada Day target date, or Dominion Day for the pure of heart, but the Proto-file at Winter Valley Railway - prototype page has been updated. I offer you Artland Saskatchewan. Back in the fall of ‘07 I spent a few days on CN’s main line between Biggar and Wainwright and a stop in Artland, just inside the Saskatchewan border with Alberta, was a part of the plan. Here is a simple, long siding without the clutter and trouble of an actual town. No need here for buildings and factories and mines and streets and all the work that those things create. No need even for a station. I’m glad I made time for this visit. I came away with modelling ideas that I would never have found in the traditional MR press. Now they’re yours. Dave
