You have all seen the following image of a recent 3D printed tank truck that I completed. I mentioned that I drove this unit "back in the day".

Well today I was looking through the ole memories box and I found the pictures made back in 1970.
I am not one of the individuals standing in front of the unit in the one picture. I had to scan the two pictures, made in July 1970, and then message them to improve them.

At any rate, not a bad clone of "my ride" :

This was the Albuquerque, N.M. terminal back in the 1970's. Gheez, I was only 30 years old, oh where, oh where has all the time gone ? ? ?

If you could find it, you might be able to buy the real thing for a good price? Maybe?

I'm glad you weren't in any major collisions, because you'd have been the first one there.

    Carl,

Looks great. Do you have any photos of Chevron Fuel trucks from the eighties. I have Coleman Oil on my layout in East Lewistion and they were a Chevron vendor. I have hit up the company to see if they have old photos of trucks but got no reply.

Back then you could buy that entire tanker load of gas for the same price as filling up a car today...
