Great Northern items - RailImages.com I received these from a friend.There are three in total,the insides slide out and one has the original paper lining in it.Any idea what these were used for?the sharp metal edges would hopefully preclude these from being for a child but who knows?I mean we managed to survive our generation without all those parental safeguards.Thanks for your help on this.
Interesting. I've never seen anything like these. Can you post some measurements? You should be able to narrow the time frame through dating the Rocky logo shown. Or knowing when the Oriental Limited used that style of emblem. Boxcab E50
These are about 3" long if that helps.I wonder if some sort of after dinner mints came in them or something.They say orient limited dining car division on the red banners
Upon further review these are 2 inches long.The handles are made of metal wire and they are covered in simulated alligator bag surface.
