Once again I have gotten some progress on my layout. I got a retaining wall off the drawing board and on the layout and started to do some scenery under bridge No. 4. I still have a lot of work to do on both of these areas. But here is what's done so far.

One last photo, Just to the right of the bridge is a grave vineyard. A few years back I hade made 3 short rows for another spot on my layout. So finaly I finished the long row and have sense decided I will make NO MORE GRAPES!

Looks like all kinds of progress. I've never had any justification for creating a vineyard, thankfully!

Here is what I got done tonight. Still much to do. Some of the shrubs and grass have been put in. The basic ground cover is now in place. The creek bed has been painted. When I put clear cock over the sand area and then over the painted blue area, it will look as if it has depth.

Very nice work. I think the vineyard would have made me crazy. At least with the indoor setting you don't have to pull weeds!

What is your rock? Looks like it might be made using the ceiling tile method?

Yes it is most certainly ceiling tile. Its old and true and better yet works in cramped spaces. The seen here is only 12" wide.

The scene looks cool. One question, your water looks a little on the blue blue side. Almost like deep ocean water. Most rivers are a little muddy or muted. How does that blue look once you have it glossed up?

Yes sir it dose. When I add the water the blue color will get toned down a bit. The water covers more then just the blue areas. The blue areas will simulate the deep parts. Here are some pictures from a previous seen, that was done the same way. The only defiance will be the shallow portion is much larger. It will run from the edge of the blue areas to the center isle and then up to the backs.

Well I finally got the seen finished or darn close to it. here are the images! Note the date plate on the bridge. I put the actual date the bridge was built on my bridges. This shows the history of the layout as well as some of the changes it has gone threw over the years. So while this bridge was built back in 2009 the scenery was just finished in 2014.

Look carefully at the the fishing poles, can you see the fishing lines?

How many birds can you count?

The water is only 1/4" deep. I love the wet looking sand in the shallow areas.

The bridge is scratch built from hard wood. Its roughly 2 1/2 feet long. The seen is only 12" wide and 13" deep.

looking down threw the bridge. It looks farther down then just 13" .
