At last, the final switch machine has been installed on the Andersley Western Railroad Now attention can be turned to ballasting the last yard tracks, and other scenic details and structures can be tackled. I am drinking a beer as I type this to celebrate ------------------ Alan The perfect combination - BNSF and N Scale! www.alancurtismodels.com Andersley Western Railroad Alan's American Gallery
Happy Suds to you Alan! Shall I order about 30 hopper loads of ballast for you? That'a about 60 in N scale! heh heh. Progress is sweet to behold!! ------------------ Watash
Congrats, Alan. Now starts the fun part. I assume it's the Belgian gear that Paul II is always on about??? Gary.

Way to go Allan- Let me guess what your first hotshot is going to have in its consist. Maybe some Concor spine cars. Have a cold one for me. ------------------ John Nutt Des Moines, IA contractrental@uswest.net
I did a bit more work tonight, and cleared everything off the layout. Now that all trackwork is done, the layout will no longer be used as a shelf I vacuumed the layout and the shed, and am now ready for final ballasting. I think I will now lay the carpet, to make it cosy for the winter ------------------ Alan The perfect combination - BNSF and N Scale! www.alancurtismodels.com Andersley Western Railroad Alan's American Gallery
I hope by this time next year all my track work will be done. Until then all I can do is envy guys like you. The beer celebration is something I think I will add to my "golden spike" moment.

rsn48, you better keep steam up in your rotary snowplow! I hear its going to be a heavy snow winter up there in God's country! ------------------ Watash
Watash....our weather in Vancouver is identical to within degree or two...celcius of Seattle...in bad winters just need larger umbrella...BUT I think the Fraser Canyon is getting its first snow fall as I speak...my favourite rail fan spot.... Long CN and CP trains through the canyon...over the Cisco Bridges...incredible cliffs, mountains, tunnels and twists...what more could a fella ask for...lol....
Where is Fraser Canyon anyway? Is it near Vancouver? Is it anything like the Grand Canyon? Some pics would be cool. ------------------ Dave
Your right Brent. Just wanted to see what Allan would say. I've got two sets of his beautiful spine cars. Cold beer does sound good. ------------------ John Nutt Des Moines, IA contractrental@uswest.net
