That is indeed code 80 track and like I said learned a lot for my very first layout...in the process of a 12' or so DCC one. Wait and hold judgement on the next real layout you ain't seen nothing yet!

    I like your trees sir!

Your practice layout made it to the fine detail stage, which is to be commended!

    and that's definitely not unitrack..

Cooder. I guess it was the bright gray ballast that got me! Good to hear you're gonna do some concentrating on the track to compliment your other fine work on your next "real" layout! Your enthusiasm is to be commended, and truthfully, every layout is a learning experience for all of us.

I'll be looking forward to seeing your results. :)

    Cheers!

    Hello,

First, your layout looks great. I'm looking to build my first layout. Was this your first layout? And what size is your layout?

    thank you

Yes was my first layout only started model railroading in Nov of 12. Its shy of 4 foot wide and about 7 foot long. The one I'm working on is about 15 foot long total but only 3 foot wide at its widest point. Thanks guys for the nice comments. Still not finished with practice layout though. Probably never will be truth be known.
