Now I can say I am experienced with using Posi-Taps. I finally took them out of the boxes and rewired my layout. All the drops are now secure and can be changed in a couple of minutes if necessary. I had no difficulities with the exception of my eight track stub yard. I few electrical mysteries to make the project interesting, but thankfully had I soldered I would still be undoing, redoing and scratching my head. With the Posi-tap connections I was able to find the offending tracks (all have drops) and realign the wiring. It seemed that even though all were the same some had to be reversed??? But being able to disconnect and reconnect quickly let everything work and saved my sanity.
Thanks again for the tip. Worth investigating if you don't like working overhead with a hot iron.

I'm glad you found using the Posi-Tap connectors very helpful.

When I first started using them, I knew that it would help with the wiring.

That's why I posted the initial thread on the use of the Posi-Tap connector.

    Tom:

    Welcome to Trainboard. [IMG]

The thread for the Posi-Tap Connectors is in this forum and I recently resurrected it.

I'll move it up again. ;)
